Howdy Brawlers, Arigh here from the Weekly Brawler here to talk about some new features that could make Bands just a little more interesting.
Donations are pretty straightforward, the ability to request Power Points from your Bandmates, similarly to Supercell’s other game Clash Royale. Every 8 hours you can request Power Points from your bandmates. There is also a payoff to donating Power Points, so you won’t be completely wasting your resources. For every Power Point you donate, you receive 2 gold and 1 experience. The gold is at the same value as that of the shop, and the experience is just something extra to top it off.
Though it’s not over, as you progress in trophies, you can request and can donate more Power Points. You gain the ability to request and donate Power Points as you enter Silver League (2000+), here’s how the rest goes:
- In Silver and Gold leagues (2000-4000) you can request 5 Power Points every 8 hours, and donate 1 powerpoint to a bandmate.
- In Diamond league (4000-6000) you can request 10 Power Points every 8 hours, and donate 2 Power Points to a bandmate.
- In Crystal League (6000-8000) you can request 15 Power Points every 8 hours, and donate 3 Power Points to a bandmate.
- In Master League (8000-10000) you can request 20 Power Points every 8 hours, and donate 4 Power Points to a bandmate.
- In Star League (10000+) you can request 30 Power Points every donate 7 hours, and 5 Power Points to a bandmate, not that you would need any extra Power Points this high.
Donations would be a pretty useful feature to encourage players to find an active band, as it would help them in leveling up their Brawlers. This system won’t include a Daily Donation limit, unlike Clash Royale. One thing you could bring up is that you could just keep farming gold with your friends every 8 hours, but the thing is, even at Star League(10000+) you’d still only be earning 10 gold every 8 hours, so it really wouldn’t be a lot.
Band Wars would function with a system similar to that of Clash Royale. The (Co-)Leaders of a Band would select the members who will be participating in the war, members can choose if they will participate or opt out on their profile, the (Co-)Leaders can see which members will be participating in the War. Wars can be of all sizes, only if the number of members participating is divisible by 3, this is so that the number of members participating can be split into game rooms.
Every War would be composed of 2 days, Collection Day and War Day:
On Collection Day, members participating can create war rooms, every member gets 3 attacks on Collection Day. Once the war room is full, a random game mode out of 4 team game modes will be selected, these include Gem Grab, Bounty, Heist, and Brawl Ball, the maps selected will also be random. You will be given 30 seconds to create a suitable team composition and will face off against another team.
On War Day every common, rare and super rare Brawler is available but is at level 1 by default, every time you win on Collection Day you earn a box that will distribute 100 Power Points randomly among three Brawlers and has a chance to unlock one of the epic, mythic or legendary Brawlers, every time you lose on Collection Day you earn a box that will distribute 50 Power Points randomly among three Brawlers and has a chance to unlock one of the epic or mythic Brawlers only.If a Brawler gains enough Power Points to be upgraded, it will automatically be upgraded, also if a Brawler reaches level 9 it will automatically unlock the star power. The boxes for winning have approximately five times as much chance to unlock a new Brawler compared to regular boxes, and the boxes for losing have approximately two times as much chance to unlock a new Brawler compared to regular boxes.
During War Day your Band will face off against 5 other bands with the same number of members participating as your Band. In War Day the participating members can enter War Rooms together, once they are ready, a random team mode and map will be selected, and your team will have 15 seconds to build a suitable team composition out of all the Brawlers, and face off against another Band in a Best of Three system, the winning team of the Best of Three will earn one victory medal. Every member can only battle in a Best if Three once per war.
Once war day ends, the winning band is that which has most victory medals, and if two bands tie with the same amount of victory medals, then the band which had more total victories in those Best of Three’s will be the victor.
Once war day ends, bands will receive rewards based on how well they placed among the 5 other bands they were up against:
- First Place will give all participating members a Box consisting of 15 Brawl Boxes.
- Second place will give all participating members a Box consisting of 10 Brawl Boxes.
- Third Place will give all participating members a Box consisting of 5 Brawl Boxes.
- Fourth Place will give all participating members a Box consisting of 3 Brawl Boxes.
- Fifth Place will give all participating members 1 box.
Band Wars would be a pretty cool addition altogether, encouraging players to play just a couple matches with their bandmates in order to get potentially massive rewards. Even if Band Wars do not use this system once added to the game, it would still be a great feature.
Both of these features would really encourage people to join active bands, which can be useful for the overall future of the game.
