Rules:

  • This is a NA Tournament! You must live in North America to enter this tournament! This is important for match-making
  • Any cheating will result from an immediate disqualification from the tourney
  • Cheating is defined as follows: Communicating with opponent players before the round, killing or shooting the referee in the Showdown finals, playing more rounds than assigned, using bots, etc. Ask if you need more info.
  • You must be older than 13 to join and must have over 1000 trophies.
  • You may only sign up once, repeat entrees will result in a disqualification and an open spot for another player.
  • You may only enter with one account. Multiple accounts by the same person are not allowed.
  • There may be teaming in the first Showdown qualification round, but not the finals, a referee will be in the round to make sure all rules are being followed.
  • You may not shoot or kill the referee, so please be familiar with the referee before the Showdown match starts.
  • Leaving the Discord while still in the tournament will result in the loss of your team and the advance of the opposing team.
  • Each team may have one and only one substitute player in the instance of a teammate being unable to play that round. Each team may only use this for one stage of the tourney. No subs can be used in the Showdown finals.
  • There is an alternative time for each match (Not including Showdown) if your team can’t play at the first time, but missing the second time results in the loss of your team.
  • You must have proof for all victories, including screen recording and screen shots. More info in How to Prove a victory.
  • We reserve the right to feature your gameplay clip on the blogs, YouTube and Reddit.
  • Supercell’s TOS – http://supercell.com/en/terms-of-service/

*Failure to follow any rules results in the immediate disqualification from the tournament.

**If one player on a team is disqualified, the entire team is disqualified, so don’t cheat!

Time and Date:

Registrations end on 16th December, 2017. The tournament will start on December 18th. We aim to finish the tournament by 23rd December, but if we need to extend it, then it may run it until the 29th of December. There will be no matches on 24th, 25th and 26th of December.

How it Works:

To register for the tournament, you have to sign up for it using the Google Forms and then join the Discord server. All the information about your matches will be given to you on Discord by the Moderators. The first round is a single elimination Showdown round. If you advance past the first round, then you’ll have the option of making your own team of 3 players who also made it past the first round (with one substitute/backup player that didn’t make it). You need to inform the Moderators about your team on Discord and all of your teammates must agree to make that team. A list of all available people that can be in your group will be posted on Discord and updated as time goes on. The next few rounds until the Finals are round robin matches were the best of 3 moves onto the next round.

How to Prove a Victory:

All rounds need proof in order for any team to advance, no proof from any team means the opposing team will automatically move onto the next round. If the losing team provides proof they lost but the winning team does not prove that they won, the losing team will advance.

For Showdown, you must take a screenshot when you die, with the bar in the top left corner still showing who killed you and how many players are left. If top players do not provide proof, the top 3 players that provided proof move onto the next round. The Finals will have a ref to make sure no rules are being broken and help determine the winner. However, players will still be required to take a screenshot when they die. This ref may not be killed or damaged (unless very unintentionally) to prevent giving them an edge.

For every match, at least one player per team must record the games (including Showdown). All the recordings must be sent to the moderators or Admins on Discord.

Tournament Layout:

Round One – Showdown

This is the “qualification” round. There will be 48 matches of 10 players each. This is single elimination, with the top 3 moving on to the next stage. This stage will last for 2 days.

Every match should be recorded to avoid cheating. Remember that although teaming is allowed for the first round, only 3 people will move on to the next round. If, for some reason, participants are unable to record their gameplay, they must submit a screenshot at the end of the match when they die within half an hour after the match is over. Likewise, if you receive first, screenshot (if you cannot record) so that the 2nd player’s name is showing in the top left corner. Failure for proof results in disqualification and the next place (ex. 4th) will move on.

Round Two – Smash and Grab

This is the first round robin stage. The Smash and Grab map will be announced one day prior to the first match. There will be 48 teams with 3 players on each team. The teams will be randomly matched against each other and will be announced one day prior to the match. Each team will play the opposing team until one team reaches 2 wins. The winning team of the matches must change 2 of their 3 brawlers (ex. Your team wins round 1 using brock, poco, and crow. You must change 2 of the 3 brawlers you are using). However, if your team loses the match right after, any brawler may be used.

At least two players on BOTH teams must screenshot the round result after every round and at least one player on BOTH teams must record the footage of the rounds. If the opposing team doesn’t screenshot and record, they are automatically disqualified from the tournament.

Round Three – Bounty

The Bounty map will be announced one day prior to the first match. There will be 24 teams with 3 players on each team. The teams will be randomly matched against each other and will be announced one day prior to the match. Just like in other rounds, each team will play the opposing team until one team reaches 2 wins. The winner of the matches must change 2 of their 3 brawlers (ex. Your team wins round 1 using brock, poco, and crow. You must change 2 of the 3 brawlers you are using). However, if your team loses the match right after, any brawler may be used. This will last for 2 days.

At least two players on BOTH teams must screenshot the round result after every round and at least one player on BOTH teams must record the footage of the rounds. If the opposing team doesn’t screenshot and record, they are automatically disqualified from the tournament.

Quarter Finals – Brawl Ball

This rounds follows the same structure as round 2 and 3. Once again, the specific map and which teams are going against each other will be announced 1 day prior to the first match. There will be 12 teams with 3 players per side. 18 of the 36 players (6 out of 12 teams) will advance into the Semi Finals. This will last for 1 day.

At least two players on BOTH teams must screenshot the round result after every round and at least one player on BOTH teams must record the footage of the rounds. If the opposing team doesn’t screenshot and record, they are automatically disqualified from the tournament.

Semi Finals – SnG – Hard Rock Mine

There will be 6 teams with 3 players on each team. The teams will be randomly matched against each other and will be announced one day prior to the match. Just like in other rounds, each team will play the opposing team until one team reaches 2 wins. The winning teams of the matches must change 2 of their 3 brawlers. However, if your team loses the match right after, any brawler may be used. This will last for 1 day.

At least two players on BOTH teams must screenshot the round result after every round and at least one player on BOTH teams must record the footage of the rounds. If the opposing team doesn’t screenshot and record, they are automatically disqualified from the tournament.

Finals – Showdown

9 players, one large battlefield and a poison leak! What better way to end a tournament than by putting all the best players against each other for an epic (yeah, pun intended) Showdown? There will be a referee present in the match. The referee cannot be killed, and you cannot attack him to fill up your Super!! Killing the referee or purposely attacking the referee will lead to elimination from the tournament with no rewards*. Teaming in Showdown is prohibited and will result in an instant elimination from the tournament with no rewards.

For Showdown Finals, we will choose which map the day before and let the players know. The next day will be the finals.

*If you kill the referee accidentally, then the decision taken by the referee will be final.

All lengths of rounds maybe be subject to change, you will receive your time to play as well as a backup time(your proposal, must be on the same day) in case you let us know at least 1 day prior to that match that you won’t make it. Please be aware that each team is allowed on substitute for one tournament stage.
